Unnecessarily long answers to simple questions

Okay, but what is this thing?

Think of it like Wordle—but for your inner life.
It’s a daily challenge you can do alone or with a friend.

But instead of testing your vocabulary, it’s here to sharpen your awareness, deepen your relationships, and help you feel more human.

Every morning for one week, you’ll get a short prompt by text—something simple that nudges you to connect, notice, or act with intention. It might ask you to reach out to someone, to pay attention in a new way, or to break a small habit of avoidance.

The goal isn’t self-improvement for the sake of optimization.

It’s about reconnecting with the real world—and waking up to just how much noise, distraction, and disconnect has crept in over the last 20 years.

It’s low-stakes and high-return.

How long does it last?

One week at a time. A new challenge starts every week, but you only sign up for the ones you choose.

What if I skip a day?

This isn’t homework. It’s an invitation. Some days you’ll act. Some days you’ll just notice. Both are valuable.

Why text?

Well, should we call you?
Texts are the clearest way to reach you without shouting. No app. No inbox. No algorithm.
Just a message that shows up in your real life—like a friend who respects your time.
We're still figuring out the best delivery method, but for now, this one works.

Can I do more weeks?

You can do as many weeks as you want—but each one starts with a choice.
There’s no autopilot here.
If it’s working, return.
If it’s not, rest. We’ll be here.

Can I invite a friend?

Yes—and honestly, it works better that way.
Some prompts will make you pause.
Some will make you uncomfortable.
Some might change how you see things.

Having a friend doing it with you means you don’t just go through it—you talk through it.
You get to laugh about what felt weird, unpack what hit hard, and nudge each other when it’s tempting to skip a day.

Growth doesn’t have to be lonely.
Sometimes all it takes is one other person saying, “Did you get that text too?”
So yes—send them the link before Monday. Start the week together. See what opens.

What is beans?

Dumb question. Next!

What if I do this for a whole year?

Then you will have woken up.
Not in some grand, dramatic way—but in the slow, steady, undeniable sense.

You’ll have peeled back the numbness.
You’ll have interrupted hundreds of moments where you might’ve checked out, scrolled past, or kept quiet.
You’ll have reached out when it felt awkward. Noticed beauty when you were in a rush.
Asked better questions. Sat with harder truths.
You’ll have re-trained your nervous system to pay attention. To open. To soften. To see.

Waking up doesn’t mean becoming someone else.
It means remembering who you were before all the noise.
It means choosing presence over autopilot.
It means noticing the life you’re already in—and realizing, finally, that it’s enough to work with.

And yeah—this all sounds poetic as fuck.
But that’s because it is.
This is your life. And this is deep shit.

We run on coffee,
not capitalism.

Ads, attention traps, and anything designed to keep you online longer than it takes to read a prompt don’t belong here. This  exists to pull you out of the scroll—not keep you in it. If that resonates, consider tossing a few bucks to help keep it going.
